- Vermont was the first state admitted to the Union after the ratification of the Constitution.
- With a population of fewer than nine thousand people, Montpelier, Vermont is the smallest state capital in the U.S.
- Montpelier is the largest producer of maple syrup in the U.S.
This is an easy/beginner level crochet pattern. The techniques you will need to know are single crochet, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease, chain stitch, and slip stitch.

- Size H (5.0mm) Crochet Hook
- Worsted Weight Yarn in Green
- Small scraps of pink yarn for cheeks
- Two 15mm Black Safety Eyes
- Poly-fil Stuffing
- Tapestry Needle
- Craft glue or hot glue gun (optional)
- Black puff paint or embroidery floss (optional)
