Axolotl Applique

This easy-to-intermediate crochet pattern creates a cute axolotl appliqué with moving arms and hands, measuring 11cm by 14cm. Made in just two pieces with minimal sewing, it is perfect for embellishing children’s items or gifts for gaming fans. The pattern is thoroughly tested and written in US terminology. You will need to know basic crochet stitches, magic rings, increases, decreases, and the popcorn stitch.
A free version of this design is available online. To complete the project, you will need a 4mm crochet hook, 29 yards of Aran weight yarn, 8mm safety eyes, a sewing needle, and scissors.
