This free intermediate-level crochet pattern helps you create Lucien, a massive and realistic amigurumi dragon plush measuring an impressive 52 inches (130 cm) long. The project is worked up using 700 yards of super bulky blanket yarn, along with a small amount of DK or worsted weight yarn for the eyes. To complete this large dragon, you will need US K (6.5 mm) and US E (3.5 mm) crochet hooks, stitch markers, poly-fil stuffing, and a tapestry needle. The assembly process also utilizes optional safety eyes alongside pins, DPN knitting needles, or wooden skewers for easier sewing.

Finished Size: 52” (130 cm) L from tip of nose to tip of tail x 22” (55 cm) W from wingtip to wingtip.

Materials

• US K / 6.5 mm & US E / 3.5 mm crochet hooks
• Weight (6) super bulky yarn, and DK weight (3) or light worsted weight (4) for the eyes.
• Optional: Safety eyes in place of DK weight yarn.
