Plarn Ear Saver

What is “plarn”? Plarn is yarn made from plastic shopping bags. A family member specially requested that I make some ear savers from plarn that she could use while on shift as a nurse. Having a huge supply of plarn, and needing ideas, I was happy to oblige. I highly recommend silamide thread for sewing- this is a durable, waxy 2-ply nylon thread.

Materials

13 1″ Strips [this takes 1 – 2 bags], K10.5/6.5mm Crochet Hook, Tapestry Needle for Weaving, 2 5/8″ – 1″ Size Buttons, and Sewing Needle & Thread
