Shay Cosmetic Bag or Hook Pouch
By Alexandra of Cre8tion Crochet.
How to crochet a cute, easy single crochet bag perfect for running errands or a night out on the town, or if you’re like me, holding your crochet supplies! Great project for beginners or advanced alike. Video tutorial included. I do recommend cotton yarn because it’s more durable, and this bag will most likely see a lot of use, and being pulled and pushed around in a larger bag/purse. For reference, I had my bag finished in a little over an hour and fifteen minutes. Gauge is only essential if using a similar lining to mine, and it’s measured in pattern: 15 SC by 17 Rows = 4.13″ (or 4 1/8″) Wide.
Finished Size: 9″ Wide by 6.25″ Tall
Materials
- You’ll need 115 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn – I used Lily Sugar n Cream in the Dark Pine colorway,
- H8/5mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle.
- If you want to line your bag, you’ll also need these supplies – I like to save myself the time and use a pre-made zipper bag.
Skill Level: Easy
