My name is Cat Wood aka Cats-Rockin-Crochet, I have a blog using my alias where I share my patterns for free. I sit on my rocking chair and crochet, that is how I came up with my blog name. I could only crochet a basic granny square for many years, I could read and make knitting patterns, but could never read a crochet pattern until about 8 years ago.
I used the internet to gain my knowledge of crochet, I never paid for any lessons as there was many free lessons to be had as I searched the internet for knowledge, you tube was my last place to learn unfortunately, I wish I had discovered the free lessons there much sooner as I am a visual learner, this may be the reason why I take so many descriptive photo’s when I write a pattern.
Supplying my patterns for free is my pay back for learning for free. My inspiration for beginning this journey was the passing of my wonderful mother in law, she left me all of her yarn and crochet pattern books, that I could not read, she also had a couple of wips that I wanted to finish for her. Thanks and cheers to all, Cat from Australia.
