Hello! I’m a work-at-home, 30-something mama of two of the most precious boys on the planet (Sam is 4, Isaiah is 2); wife to my best friend, Zack, a pastor; and completely imperfect child of God, who gives me the grace I desperately need to navigate this crazy life.
I sort of stumbled into the world of crochet. I’ve been a graphic designer for most of my adult life; but spending hours upon hours staring at a computer screen can get old, and I’ve always wanted a hobby that didn’t require such a consuming relationship with my MacBook. A couple of years ago, a friend asked me to design a web site for her crochet business. I couldn’t help but get excited when I looked at all the beautiful and fun creations she was making. So, when I finished that site, I decided to learn crochet for myself. My original goal was to be able to save some money by hand-making Christmas presents for my family members. By the time I was done, I was smitten with my new hobby. (I owe so much to that friend, who answered no less than a bazillion questions during the learning process and encouraged me all along the way.)
Fast forward a couple of years, and I’m now the owner of my own Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/littlemonkeyscrochet). I’ve discovered that I LOVE making my own patterns, and I want to share some of them with you! I find beauty in simplicity, even as a crochet pattern designer, and I love to design modern patterns that will inspire newbies and seasoned crocheters alike.
