Van Gogh’s Sunflowers in Crochet
Design by Lisa Ferrel/My Fingers Fly.

Last year the Getty Museum challenged people to recreate famous works of art. The results were sometimes amazing, sometimes hysterical. The Getty Challenge
I decided to try my own recreation using crochet. Turns out, one of the biggest challenges was finding a famous painting that looked easy enough to duplicate in yarn but still appealed to me visually. I wanted something colorful to cheer me up on these dreary days. Settling on one of Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings, I rummaged through my yarn stash to find the appropriate colors.
Finished Size: Finished panel measures approximately 21” tall by 15” wide.
