Crochet Mesh and Shell Clusters stitch

I called this the Crochet Mesh and Shell Clusters for lack of a better name, it’s simple and to the point. There are lots of stitches that use this combination, but this one really looks great because the shells are using clusters.

Combining crochet mesh with shell or cluster stitches creates a lacy, highly textured fabric. The open mesh provides drape and breathability, while the shells or cluster groups add raised, decorative focal points. This mix works well for lightweight blankets, market bags, shawls, and garments.

The Gauge: 4 sts = 1 inch / 2.5 cms

Materials

• HOOK: Any size but I used 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US
• YARN: Any size but I used worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10 ply AU
