The Dublin Hat free crochet pattern is made with approximately 100 to 130 yards of bulky weight 5 yarn. The modern hat can be made in 3 sizes for children, teens, and adults. You will also need 2 crochet hooks, 6 mm (J) and 8 mm (L), or the hooks required to match the gauge swatch (14 stitches and 14 rows = 10 cm in 4”square/ 8 mm hook = 14 rows and 14 SC.). The crochet pattern is written in US terms and is an easy to intermediate skill level project. The beanie has a lovely texture made using the shell stitch, and can be made in under an hour!
