If you want to add a cozy, rustic touch to your autumn decor, this free embroidered pumpkin pattern is a really fun project to try. It is geared toward intermediate makers and uses about 200 to 275 yards of worsted weight yarn, a 3.5 mm hook (and an optional 2.75 mm hook for fine details), stitch markers, and poly-fil.
The best part is definitely the surface embroidery. It turns standard stitches into a gorgeous textured piece that looks incredible on a mantle or table. If you love combining traditional shaping with pretty decorative details, you will really enjoy working on this one.
