First Aid Kit Baby Rattle
Design by Lisa Ferrel/My Fingers Fly.

Crochet a first aid kit rattle for the new medical personnel of your family. This versatile crochet pattern allows you to make several styles of rattles with the same basic instructions:
- Briefcase baby rattle for the child of an accountant, lawyer, or businessman.
- Purse baby rattle for the mom, realtor, model, or shopper.
- First aid kit baby rattle for the doctor, nurse, or any medical personnel.
These rattles make great shower gifts, photography props or accessories for baby’s Halloween costume.
Very versatile pattern. Use worsted weight yarn from your scrap basket (cotton or polyester). You can use an empty pill bottle to make the rattle or buy a rattle insert. I have also made them with a squeaker for a dog toy.
Finished Size: Approximately 3″ tall by 4.5” wide (not including handle)
Materials
- Small amounts of worsted weight yarn (cotton or polyester)
- Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Fiberfill or cotton stuffing
- Rattle insert
Skill Level: Easy
