Chicken Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Free crochet pattern for a chicken: Chubby white egg-shaped chicken with a red three-lobed comb, red wattle, yellow beak and feet, and small white wings. The chicken is worked in single crochet from DK (light worsted) cotton yarn with a 3.5 mm (US E-4) hook and comes out about 7 in (17 cm) tall. It is made in 11 pieces (body (head and body in one); beak; wattle lobe x2; comb, middle lobe; comb, side lobe x2; wing x2; foot x2) that are sewn together at the end, with a picture for every assembly step. Every round is written out with its stitch count, in US terms. Skill level: easy.
