Pig Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Free crochet pattern for a pig: a squashed ball-shaped pig on four short legs with dark hooves, an oval snout, floppy ears and a curly tail. The pig is worked in single crochet from DK (light worsted) cotton yarn with a 3.5 mm (US E-4) hook and comes out about 6 in (14 cm) tall. It is made in 13 pieces (body (head and body in one), snout, ear x2, front leg x2, back leg x2, front hoof x2, back hoof x2, curly tail) that are sewn together at the end, with a picture for every assembly step. Every round is written out with its stitch count, in US terms. Skill level: easy.

• DK (light worsted) cotton yarn, about 144 yd (132 m) in all:
  • light pink (about 115 yd (105 m)),
  • pink (about 16 yd (15 m)),
  • brick red (about 13 yd (12 m)),
  • white (a small scrap).
• 3.5 mm (US E-4) crochet hook.
• 15 mm black safety eyes (1 pair),
• polyester toy stuffing,
• yarn needle (big eye, blunt tip),
• 1 stitch marker,
• scissors.
