I’ve made many wreaths over the years – this is the base I use. It’s beginner friendly featuring simple single crochet stitches, but does require some basic sewing. For reference, I had my cover ready in just over two hours.

Finished Size: 12″

Materials

  • 185 yards + Small Amount for Hanger of Worsted Weight Yarn
  • H8/5mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle
  • 12″ Styrofoam Wreath Base
  • I used about half a skein of Red Heart’s Super Saver in Aran. Bernat Super Value and Caron One Pound are good alternatives. For the styrofoam wreath base, it doesn’t matter if it’s green or white.

Skill Level: Easy
