Cross Stitch Alien Coasters
By Alexandra of EyeLoveKnots.
Have you tried cross stitching on a crocheted piece? It’s a great technique for adding a little something when you don’t feel like working in tapestry. You can follow any cross stitch or plastic canvas pattern, or make your own using some graph paper at home!
These little alien (or skull, depending on what you see) coasters are a fun make for any time of the year! I think they’d also look really good in a bright purple or green background. Work with two strands of cotton yarn held together, and you could make a matching trivet to put your tea kettle or coffee pot on while your entertaining. It will definitely be a fun set to break the ice with!
Materials Needed:
- Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn in Two Colors
- H8/5mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
