This easy beanie pattern uses the spike stitch, half double crochets, working in the 3rd loop of half double crochets, and single crochets. It is easy to complete and the pattern has lots of pictures for reference.

The pattern also has a separate option to make a ponytail messy bun hat instead of the closed top beanie.

Adult in 3 sizes (Small, Medium, Large)

I used several colors of worsted weight yarn for my examples. Gauge is provided in the pattern. The brim is worked first with a smaller size F hook, and then once joined to form a ring, you work from the brim to the crown using a size G hook. The pom pom on top is optional. You can create a closed top beanie without the pom pom if you’d like.
