Triumphant Textures Beanie

This simple-to-make, textured, and slightly slouchy beanie is gender-neutral. Crocheted in a super soft cotton blend yarn, it’s comfy enough to wear as a “chemo cap” for anyone experiencing traumatic hair loss. This pattern was designed for the 2021 Crochet Cancer Challenge with Sweet Potato 3.

• Subtle Drifter Chunky (25% cotton/6% wool/69% acrylic, 3.5 oz/100 g/170 yd/156 m) – 1 skein in 4674 Lilac (CA), or approximately 30 yd (35 yd, 40 yd, 55 yd, 60 yd, 65 yd, 70 yd, 80 yd, 85 yd, 90 yd)/27.5 m (32 m, 36.5 m, 50.5 m, 55 m, 59.5 m, 64 m, 73 m, 78 m, 82.5 m) in CA in any cotton blend, bulky weight yarn.
• Drifter Chunky (25% cotton/6% wool/69% acrylic, 3.5 oz/100 g/170 yd/156 m) in 2163 Naples (CB) – 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2), or approximately 60 yd (85 yd, 95 yd, 105 yd, 115 yd, 130 yd, 145 yd, 160 yd, 175 yd, 185 yd)/55 m (77.5 m, 87 m, 96 m, 105 m, 119 m, 132.5 m, 146.5 m, 160 m, 169 m) in CA in any cotton blend, bulky weight yarn.
• US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
