This is the child version of this Adult Pocket Scarf. It’s a great mom and daughter set, but could be made for anyone on your list.

This quick and easy scarf includes two small pockets for your child to store favorite finds. Personalize the scarf by including coordinating or contrasting buttons.

Measurements

  • Finished Size: Child: 3” (7.5 cm) wide x 45.5” (115.5 cm) long after seaming.
  • Gauge: 20 sts x 12 rows = 4” (10 cm) in pattern before blocking. Exact gauge is not critical for this pattern.

Materials

  • Lion Brand Heartland yarn (100% acrylic, 5 oz/142 g/251 yd/230 m) – 1 skein #174 Joshua Tree or #169 Shenandoah, or approximately 220 yd (201 m) for ea scarf in any medium weight yarn.
  • US Size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain gauge.
  • 2 –1” (2.5 cm) sew through or shank buttons for each scarf.
  • Yarn or tapestry needle with eye small enough to sew through button or shank.
  • Optional: 6 locking stitch markers.
