This triangular, color-blocked shawl uses the granny stitch and is edged with a v-stitch border. Wear it as a scarf in the winter and as a shawl in the warmer weather. This pattern was designed for ELK Studio’s 2019 Make It For Me Event.

Finished Size: 54.5” (138.5 cm) wingspan x 26.5” (67.5 cm) spine unblocked.

Skills Used
Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch
Crocheting flat in rows, increasing, skipping stitches, crocheting in chain spaces

Gauge
Rows 1-4 = 4” (10 cm) across straight edge. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.

Materials

  • Red Heart It’s a Wrap yarn (50% cotton/50% acrylic, 7 oz/200 g, 1,100 yd/1,006 m) – 1 skein in 9324 Thriller, or approximately 980 yd (896 m) in any super fine weight yarn.
  • US F-5/3.75 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain correct gauge.
  • Yarn needle.
  • Stitch marker (optional).
