Tunisian Staircase Washcloth
Design by Sarah Ruane from Ned and Mimi.
This simple pattern is the perfect introduction to Tunisian mosaic crochet, featuring an easy and intuitive repeat with minimal ends to weave in. Although Tunisian mosaic crochet might look intricate, it’s deceptively simple, changing colors each row without needing to cut the yarn. Each Tunisian row has a forward pass and return pass, allowing you to float the new color up the side of your work. The pattern includes written instructions and a mosaic chart, adaptable for various sizes like dishcloths or tea towels.
