This easy peasy crochet ladybug softie pattern is easy to adapt by adding more or fewer spots, and you can make one in an afternoon for a last-minute gift or road-trip companion. Ladybugs remind me of summer, and they have been used in New York City for years to ward off other insects. Each one seems (to my eyes) to have a unique spotting pattern.

This is the first pattern in the second Summer Quickies Crochet Along with CAL Central Crochet.
