Red, White, and Blue Crochet Headband

Celebrate Independence Day with this red, white, and blue crochet headband. It works up quickly, making it great for a last-minute accessory as you head out to see the fireworks and other events.

Crocheters of all skill levels will enjoy this headband crochet pattern. It’s a basic single crochet pattern, perfect for beginners ready to practice simple color changes. Plus, the bright colors add a cheerful touch to any outfit.

The band ties at the back for a comfortable fit for all sizes.

Adjusting The Size

The finished size is 3 inches wide by 47 inches long. This is a happy medium for just about everyone.

You may wish to decrease the width a bit for children, and for adults, you can increase that if needed.

If making adjustments to the length, you will also need to adjust the color design. This can easily be done in the larger color blocks and still have it looking nice.

The Yarn

For this easy crochet headband pattern, I used Caron Simply Soft, a medium worsted-weight acrylic yarn. It might not be the best option for the summer if you live in hot weather. However, you can switch out the yarn for a natural material like cotton.

Plus, the headband is perfect for year-round wear, not just for the 4th of July!
