Triangle Shape Filet Square Crochet Pattern

This beginner-friendly crochet afghan square is worked up in simple stitches using the filet technique to create a triangle shape within the square.

A fun and easy pattern using double crochet stitches and chain stitches to create a great triangle pattern in a solid square. This granny type square is perfect for shawls, dishcloths, coasters, and baby blankets. It’s one of six shapes for my Shapes N Blocks Baby Blanket.
This easy to follow free pattern has written directions, photos, and a crochet symbol chart.
Finished Size: 7.5″ x 7″ square
Materials
I used a dk weight yarn and a size G6 crochet hook to create this square, but you can use any yarn and hook combination you’d like.
