Heart Shape Filet Square by Caitlin's Contagious Creations

This heart shape filet square pattern makes an almost square that is perfect to use as a dishcloth, coaster, for a baby blanket, shawl, scarf and more! The pattern is written for advanced beginners; its solid filet design uses mostly double crochets and chain stitches to create the heart shape. The pattern features written directions, photos, and a stitch diagram.

This pattern is one of six shapes making up my Shapes N Blocks Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern. Visit the link to find the others!

Finished Size: 7.5″ x 7″ square

Materials

  • This heart shape filet square requires about 65 yards of DK weight yarn for the main square. There is an option to add a border around the square in the same or a contrasting color which requires an additional 20 yds. I used Paintbox Simply DK yarn to complete this pattern;
  • G6/ 4mm crochet hook
  • You will also need scissors and a yarn needle.
