Brushstrokes Beanie

This simple crochet beanie pattern alternates rows of herringbone double crochet and single crochet to create a stitch pattern that slants like brushstrokes. This pattern is available in 10 sizes and matches the Brushstrokes Scarf pattern, which is available in 4 child and adult sizes. This pattern is part of the 2022 Hat of the Month Crochet Along with Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy. The 1-2 Years Size version of this pattern is available for FREE.

Materials
- King Cole Acorn Aran yarn (80% acrylic/20% wool, 3.5 oz/100 g, 216 yd/198 m) – 1 skein in 4955 Holly Berries, or approximately 150 yd/137 m in any medium weight, acrylic/wool blend yarn.
- US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
- US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Bent tip yarn needle.
